Keyboard shortcuts
Keyboard shortcuts available in the PulsVault web console — global search, documentation search, notes, and the file viewer.
The web console supports a small set of keyboard shortcuts. On macOS use ⌘; on Windows and Linux use Ctrl.
Global#
| Shortcut | Action |
|---|---|
| ⌘K / Ctrl+K | Focus the global search bar. If your vault is locked, the unlock prompt opens first — search only works over unlocked data. |
| Enter | Run the search when the results dropdown is open (also saves it to recent searches). |
| Esc | Close the search dropdown, or dismiss the open dialog or side panel. |
Documentation#
When you're reading these docs:
| Shortcut | Action |
|---|---|
| ⌘K / Ctrl+K | Open the docs search dialog. |
| ↓ / ↑ | Move through search results. |
| Enter | Open the highlighted result. |
| Esc | Close the search dialog. |
Notes editor#
| Shortcut | Action |
|---|---|
| ⌘S / Ctrl+S | Save the note you're editing (Notes). |
File viewer#
When previewing files and attachments:
| Shortcut | Action |
|---|---|
| ← / → | Go to the previous / next attachment. |
| Esc | Close the viewer. |
Note
That's the full list — PulsVault intentionally keeps global key handling minimal so shortcuts never conflict with typing inside secure fields. More shortcuts may be added over time; check the changelog.
