Billing settings
Manage your PulsVault billing details — your billing address and VAT number, with pointers to where cards, invoices and cancelling live.
Billing settings is where you keep the paperwork side of your subscription in order: the address that appears on your invoices and your tax identifier. Open it under Billing → Billing Settings.
Billing address#
Your billing address is the name and location that appear on every invoice PulsVault issues. Choose Edit to open the address form:
| Field | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Full name | Yes | The name invoices are addressed to. |
| Company name | No | Fill this in if you're billing to an organization. |
| Address line 1 | Yes | Street and number. |
| Address line 2 | No | Suite, floor, or unit. |
| City | Yes | |
| State / Province | No | |
| Zip / Postal code | Yes | |
| Country | Yes | Picked from the supported-country list. |
| VAT number | No | Your tax ID (for example ESX1234567X) — include it if you're eligible for VAT handling. |
When you save, the address is stored against your account and used on future invoices. You'll see a confirmation once it's updated; if a required field is missing or invalid, the form tells you what to fix.
Taxes and totals are calculated at the moment an invoice is generated. Enter your company name and VAT number ahead of your next billing date so they appear correctly — updating them afterward doesn't rewrite an invoice that's already been issued.
Money matters live in Billing#
Cards, invoices and cancelling are not handled on a separate site: each has its own page inside PulsVault. Card entry is the only part Stripe, our payment processor, draws for you.
- Payment methods — add, remove or change the card Stripe charges
- Invoices — download PDFs and pay an open invoice
- Plans & subscription — subscribe, change, cancel or resume
Your full card number is typed into Stripe's PCI-compliant payment form, shown inside the PulsVault panel, and goes straight to Stripe. It is never handled by or stored in PulsVault. PulsVault staff will never ask you for your full card number.
Your billing address and VAT number matter here too: you must save an address before you can subscribe, and Stripe puts it and your VAT number on the customer record that your invoices use.
Who can manage billing#
Billing settings are available to the account owner and, in an organization, to roles granted the relevant billing permissions. See Roles & permissions.
Troubleshooting#
| Symptom | Cause & fix |
|---|---|
| "No billing address on file" | You haven't saved an address yet. Choose Edit and fill in the required fields. |
| Address won't save | A required field (name, street, city, postal code, or country) is empty or invalid. Check the highlighted fields and try again. |
| Checkout asks for a billing address | A billing address is required before you can pay. Save one here, or in the step the plan selector shows, and try again. |
| VAT not applied on my invoice | The invoice was generated before your VAT number was saved. New invoices will reflect it. |
