Organization information

Your organization's name, plan type and status, your role in it, and where an owner deletes the organization.

Organization → Organization → Information is your organization's profile. It is small on purpose: it shows only what the product can actually store and use.

What the page shows#

Field What it is
Name How your company is named on your invoices, in the audit log and wherever the product refers to it. Up to 100 characters
Type Team, Business or Enterprise — read-only; it follows your plan
Status Active, or Suspended — read-only when the organization has been suspended.
Your role here Owner if you own the organization, otherwise Member

The name starts as a guess derived from your email domain when the organization is created. Rename it to whatever your company is actually called. This is your name for the company; it does not change what the product calls itself to your members — that is branding, an Enterprise feature.

Rename the organization#

  1. Go to Organization → Organization → Information.
  2. Edit the Name.
  3. Select Save changes, or Discard to put the old name back.

Save changes and Discard appear only while you can write. When the organization is read-only, the name is shown but cannot be edited, and a notice explains that your name, branding and members are unaffected.

Branding#

On the Enterprise plan a Branding card appears below the name. On every other plan it is not shown at all. What it does, and its limits, are described in Rollout → Branding.

Danger zone: Delete organization#

If you are the organization's owner, a Delete organization section closes the bottom of the page. It is not shown to anyone else, and it is not shown on a Family plan.

Deleting an organization closes every account in it, yours included, and erases its data. The page it opens shows you everything the deletion covers, and every account it will close, before you confirm. The full process, including the waiting period and what is kept, is in Delete account.

If you work on your own#

If you have no organization, the page says You work on your own: your workspace is personal, so there is no organization profile to configure, and upgrading to a Team or Business plan creates one. If an organization has invited you, a notice on that page points you to the invitation.
