Preferences

Tune how the PulsVault console looks and reads — language, timezone, date format, dark mode, and accessibility options like reduced motion — synced to your account.

Preferences control how the PulsVault console looks and reads for you: your regional formats and the appearance of the interface. These are personal display settings — they don't change your data or your security, just the way it's presented. Open them from Account → Preferences, adjust what you like, and choose Save Preferences.

Regional & Language#

The first card sets how text and dates are shown.

Setting Options What it controls
Language English, French, Spanish The console's interface language.
Timezone Any IANA timezone Used to display dates and times in your local zone. Searchable, grouped by region.
Sign me out after 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hours, 4 hours, 8 hours, 12 hours, 1 day, 7 days How long this account stays signed in before you must sign in again. If your organization sets a session band, the list is narrowed to it and a note under the field names who requires it (for example "requires between 1 hour and 1 day"). You can still choose to be signed out sooner than your organization's ceiling.
Date format MM/DD/YYYY HH:mm:ss, DD/MM/YYYY HH:mm:ss, YYYY-MM-DD HH:mm:ss How timestamps are formatted throughout the app.
Your timezone is detected for you

When the page opens, PulsVault pre-fills your current or browser-detected timezone so the dropdown is usable instantly — even before the full timezone list finishes loading. You only need to change it if you're in a different zone from your device.

Appearance & Accessibility#

The second card customizes the interface. Each setting previews live as you change it, so you can see the effect before committing.

Setting Default Effect
Theme — A three-way choice: Light, Dark, or System. System follows your device and keeps following it — if your operating system switches to dark at dusk, the console switches with it. The line under the choice shows which theme System currently resolves to.
Show Breadcrumbs On Shows the hierarchical navigation path at the top of pages.
Reduced Motion Off Disables non-essential animations across the console.
Preview now, save to keep

Changing these applies the change immediately so you can judge it, but the choice is only persisted when you press Save Preferences. If you navigate away without saving, your stored settings stay as they were and will be reapplied next time.

Saving and syncing#

Choose Save Preferences to write your settings to your PulsVault account. Because they're stored on your account rather than only in this browser, they follow you when you sign in elsewhere. A confirmation toast appears when the save succeeds.

Accessibility note#

Reduced motion is there for anyone who finds interface animation distracting or uncomfortable, and it pairs well with your operating system's own reduced-motion setting. Turning it on quiets transitions and non-essential movement across the console without affecting any functionality.
