Security Academy

The PulsVault Security Academy certification program — the six tracks, what each level means, how the exams work, and how organization administrators request team training or a maturity assessment.

The Security Academy is PulsVault's certification program. Its exams cover the practices the product depends on: zero-knowledge encryption, envelope-encrypted storage, path-based access control and pipeline safety. The Academy itself is a separate site; this page in the console is your map of it.

Open it from Tools → Security Academy in the sidebar.

Who sees it#

  • Personal and family accounts see the individual view below.
  • Organization owners and administrators — anyone who can manage the organization's configuration — see the organization view on Team, Business and Enterprise plans.
  • Everyone else in an organization does not see the entry in the sidebar, and the page is not open to them. Training is something an administrator arranges for the team.

The individual view#

The page opens with the Official Certification Program banner, Level up your security skills., and a Go to Academy Platform button that opens the Academy site in a new tab. Under the button: "Exam registration opens soon — curricula are published now, so you can start preparing."

Certification Tracks shows one card per track, with the level, the track name, a description and a badge. Explore Syllabus opens that track's page on the Academy site. A track whose curriculum is not finished says so on its card.

Code Track Level Status
PV-CSM Certified Secrets Manager Foundation Available
PV-CWS Certified Web Security Associate Foundation Available
PV-CDS Certified DevOps Security Professional Practitioner Available
PV-CCP Certified Credential Practitioner Practitioner Curriculum in development
PV-CCE Certified Cryptography Engineer Specialist Available
PV-CAS Certified AI Security Expert Specialist On the roadmap — content in progress

"Available" means the curriculum is published; the exam platform itself has not opened for any track yet.

Three short cards below the tracks describe the program: Verifiable Badges (share Credly badges on LinkedIn, a résumé and credential profiles), Applied Engineering Exams (hands-on secure pipeline setups and data audits rather than only multiple choice) and Free Sandbox Training (practice in browser-based terminal labs with real command-line feedback).

The organization view#

On Team, Business and Enterprise plans the page is headed Train and certify your engineers. with a Team enablement banner, a Request an enablement session button and Open the Academy. A notice reads Registration is not open yet — the proctored exam platform is launching soon, and your team can join the notify list on any track page to be emailed when registration opens.

Which track for which role#

Each track is listed with the people on your team it was written for, so you can map tracks to roles:

Ask for help#

The closing band, Want help getting your team there?, has two choices. Each opens the same request form, Request an enablement session:

  • Instructor-led team training — a session with PulsVault engineers on your architecture, deployment shape and key lifecycle.
  • Security maturity assessment — a review of how your organization distributes secrets, and where to tighten it.

In the form, What do you need? is Team training or Maturity assessment; your company and reply-to address are filled in for you, and Goals (optional) is where you describe team size, the tracks you are considering or compliance goals. Send request submits it and the form confirms Request sent. A solutions engineer then replies to you.
