Item types (20+)

Catalog of PulsVault's built-in item types by category, and the fields each one stores.

Every item in a vault has a type — a schema that defines its fields, which of them are sensitive (masked), and whether it accepts file attachments. PulsVault ships more than 20 built-in types across four categories.

Categories#

Types are grouped into four categories. The New item picker orders them for your role: standard users see Personal first; developer and admin accounts see Advanced first.

Personal Identity documents and records Passport, Driver license, Medical record
Connections Accounts and services you sign in to Login, Email account, Server, Database
Financial Payment and money-related data Credit card, Bank account, Crypto wallet

Fields marked sensitive in a type's schema (passwords, PINs, keys, card numbers, seed phrases…) are masked by default — see Sensitive fields & reveal. Attachment limits and accepted file formats are set per type — see Files & attachments.

Choosing a type#

  1. Open a vault and choose New item.
  2. Browse the categories or search the type list.
  3. Pick the closest match — the form is generated from the type's schema, with required and optional fields.
  4. Fill it in and save. The type's secret fields are encrypted on your device before upload; its name and other fields are stored readable (what is and isn't encrypted).
When nothing fits

Use Secure note for free-form content, or Document when the attachment itself is the point (contracts, scans, certificates).
