All items, Favorites & Recent
One list of every item you own across all your vaults — with Favorites and Recent as preset views, filters by vault and tag, and the same item drawer as the vault screen.
Most of the time you know what you are looking for, not which vault it lives in. All items is one table of everything you own across every vault, so you can search, filter and open an item without choosing a vault first. Favorites and Recent are two presets of the same page, not separate screens.
The page header reads All items, Favorites or Recent to match the view you are on, with the line "Everything you own, across every vault."
The three views#
A switch at the top of the page changes the preset:
| View | What it shows |
|---|---|
| All | Every item you own, in every vault |
| Favorites | Items you have starred, whichever vault they live in |
| Recent | Your most recent items, capped at the latest 50 |
Your vault and tag choices are kept when you switch view, so you can look at "Favorites in my Work vault" and flip to "Recent in my Work vault" without choosing it again.
Narrow the list#
- Vault — a searchable selector, All vaults by default. It also decides where a new item would go.
- Tag — a searchable selector, All tags by default. Choosing a tag retitles the page with the tag's name, and an empty one says "Nothing tagged with this yet".
- Search and the Type filter work as they do inside a vault — see Search.
Choosing a tag from the sidebar opens this same page filtered to that tag.
Create an item here#
New in followed by a vault's name appears only when exactly one vault is selected in the Vault filter. An item has to live somewhere and this page has no default, so with All vaults selected there is no create button. Select a vault, choose the button, pick an item type, and continue as in Create & manage items.
Open an item#
Select a row to open the same item drawer you get inside a vault: details, sharing, history, activity, lifecycle and validation. Row actions are decided by that row's own vault, so an item in a vault you can only view stays view-only here.
The page needs your vault to be unlocked. While it is locked, the rail's lens rows don't open it, and a typed address sends you to unlock first.
The table is drawn from an index of the plain-text parts of your items — title, type, vault, folder and last-changed time. Those are the fields PulsVault does not end-to-end encrypt (see what is and isn't encrypted), so listing thousands of items across all your vaults decrypts nothing. Passwords, keys, card numbers and the other sensitive fields stay encrypted until you open an item and reveal them.
